Strap:
Watchbands are distinguished by materials and band width.
Leather-, rubber- or textile straps are cheap, comfortable to wear and easy to
adjust in length for different wrist sizes. Leather (exception Aqua leather) is
hardly water resistant. Straps do mostly come with tang buckles.
Metal bracelets are more rugged and durable and of course water resistant.
Commonly made out of the same material like the case, they are more expensive
and also more complicated to adjust to different wrist sizes (special tools
needed). Usually they have folding or deploying clasps, sometimes with security
lock to prevent them from opening inadvertently.
Band widths are available in steps of 2 mm from 10-24 mm, often the band is
narrowing down by 2 mm from the case to the clasp.
