Halter, a graduate of the ' Ecole Horlogère de Paris' and a
development engineer in different traditional watchmaking companies like
Audemars Piguet, founded his own company in 1993 - Janvier S.A. in St. Croix
Switzerland - in homage to Antide Janvier, one of the master watchmakers of the
reign of Louis XVI.
Dedicated principally to 'haut de gamme' watch masterpieces, Vianney Halter's
art is to discover design solutions and to solve technical complications that
appear at first sight to be impossible.
Vianney Halter watches are hand made and exclusive, some do call them 'rare' as
delivery time often exceeds months ... or years ...
ANTIQUA
After five years of development Vianney Halter introduced the Perpetual Antiqua
with a handmade automatic mechanical movement, Perpetual calendar, with day,
month and leap year and Transparent case back and front case movement window.
CLASSIC (2001)
Proposed at the 1999-2000 Basel Watch Fairs and to be launched autumn 2001: the
Vianney Halter Classic with a gold case comprising 25 different parts measuring
36x10 mm and transparent sapphire crystal case back. The crown alone is composed
of 26 separate elements.
The automatic mechanical movement, VH100, features a patented oscillating weight
called 'Mystérieuse' in the shape of a flat ring that turns around itself.
Power-reserve of 40 hours, 18K white, yellow or rose gold, front and back
sapphire crystals.
